SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 10/1/22, at approximately 1448 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a cyclist on VT RT 100 near Crimson Hawk Rd, in the Town of Plymouth. Through investigation, it was revealed Operator #1 (Boaknin) was operating vehicle #1, traveling north on VT RT 100. Raffety was also traveling northbound on his bicycle on the shoulder of the roadway. Operator #1 (Boaknin) advised he partially crossed the center line to give more space between vehicle #1 and Raffety. It was determined Raffety, who advised he was attempting to make a U-Turn, turned left into the passenger side of vehicle #1. Operator #1 (Boaknin) was unaware until he saw Raffety in his rearview mirror on the ground. Operator #1 (Boaknin) turned around and provided aid. Raffety was taken to Springfield Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Vermont State Police were assisted on the scene by Ludlow Police Department.
