SUMMARY OF CRASH: On April 19, 2022, at approximately 2217 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash on Vermont Route 22a in the Town of West Haven. Preliminary investigation revealed that while traveling southbound Vehicle #1 left its lane of travel and entered the northbound lane. Operator #1 failed to maintain lane and was struck by Vehicle #2 as it was traveling north on Vermont Route 22a. The operator of Vehicle #1, Victoria Allums, was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center for suspected serious bodily injury. The operator of Vehicle #2, Chad Sheldon, was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center for suspected minor injuries. Troopers were assisted on scene by the West Haven Fire department.
