SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On the above date and time, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Shaftsbury Barracks responded to a report of a disabled tractor-trailer unit located on Vermont Route 9 near the intersection of Vermont Route 8 in the Town of Searsburg, Vermont. Troopers arrived on the scene and discovered a motor vehicle crash had occurred. The operator of vehicle one, Jaime Baez-Trevino, 31, was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. Vehicle one then slid on the poor roadway conditions and collided with the operator of vehicle two, Alfred Hicks, 51, causing rear-end damage to the tractor-trailer unit. Vehicle one suffered substantial damage to the vehicle’s front-end, requiring it to be towed from the scene by A’s Towing and Repair Service. Vehicle two suffered minor rear-end damage from the incident and was able to be driven freely from the scene.
