SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 11/01/21 at approximately 1814 hours, Troopers responded to a report of a two-car crash at the intersection of US Route 7 and Monkton Road in the Town of Ferrisburgh. Upon arrival, Troopers identified the operator of each vehicle as Jacqueline Clark (76) of Vergennes, VT and Jason Vanderweert (42) of Addison, VT, respectively.

Investigation revealed Clark was traveling north on US Route 7 while Vanderweert was traveling south on US Route 7. Clark disregarded a flashing yellow light and attempted a left turn onto Monkton Rd. Clark crossed the centerline without yielding to oncoming traffic, resulting in a broadside collision.

Both operators were wearing their seatbelts and Clark sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of the crash. Clark was transported to UVM Medical Center for further evaluation.

The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Vergennes Police Department.
