SUMMARY OF CRASH: On October 18. 2021, at approximately 0650 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks responded to a two-vehicle crash on VT RT 31 at the intersection of Ruby Rd., in the Town of Poultney.
Initial investigation revealed that Operator #2 (Morin) was operating Vehicle #2 travelling northbound on VT RT 31. Operator #1 (Shaddock) was travelling southbound on VT RT 31, attempting to turn left onto Ruby Rd., ultimately turning in front of Vehicle #2, causing the front of Vehicle #2 to collide with the rear passenger side door area of Vehicle #1. Vehicle #2 then continued, coming to an uncontrolled rest into a tree.
Operator #1 (Shaddock) was transported to the Rutland Regional Medical Center for further evaluation of injuries.
The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Poultney Fire Department and Granville Rescue Squad (NY).
