SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On the above date and time, Troopers were advised of a single vehicle crash on Route 122 in the town of Sheffield. Lyndon Rescue and Sheffield Fire responded as well.

Through initial investigation, it was revealed that Operator #1 was operating Vehicle #1 south on VT Route 122 when she lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a telephone pole, overturned and was ejected from the vehicle. Operator #1 was not wearing her seatbelt and speed was a factor in the crash.

Both occupants sustained serious injuries from the crash. Operator #1 was transported to Fletcher Allen via helicopter and Passenger #1 was transported to NVRH.

This crash remains under investigation.

An update to this press release will be issues pending notification to family.
