SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On the above date and time, Vermont State Police received a report of a
two-vehicle crash in the area of 1385 VT RT 14 in East Montpelier.
Investigation revealed both Maple and Patten were traveling south on VT RT 14.
Maple was attempting to take a left hand turn into a driveway when Patten passed
her, crossing the double yellow lines. Patten lost control of the vehicle and
collided with an embankment, facing south in the north lane of travel. Patten
sustained serious injuries and was transported to Central Vermont Medical
Center. This crash remains under investigation.
