SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 02/21/21 at approximately 1933 hours, Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash into a tree on Monkton Ridge Road in the Town of Monkton. Investigation revealed the operator to be Shilo Rinder-Goddard (32) of New Haven, VT, and the passenger to be Kylie Fleming (35) of Bristol, VT.

Both occupants were transported to UVM Medical Center for injuries sustained as a result of this crash. Alcohol impairment is suspected to be a contributing factor. Rinder-Goddard was issued a citation to appear at the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

No additional information is available at this time. An updated news release will be provided as necessary.

The Vermont State Police would like to remind motorists of both the dangers of impaired driving, and the importance of wearing a seatbelt at all times while occupying a moving vehicle.
