It’s Monday morning, 7:07 AM. I look forward to the work week as I do every week. This is my 40th year of having a law office in Hyde Park, Vermont. There has been a lot of changes over the years. I started with a used IBM Selectric Typewriter, carbon paper and a black rotary phone. In fact we didn’t get touch tone service until 1990.
My office was located at the Grant House which is at 125 Main Street in Hyde Park from 1981 until July 1, 2010. I moved 50 feet to the east to the Anna Lilley House at 125 Main Street which I call the Lilley Potter house because the Potter family lived there for decades in the 20th Century.
My goal every day is to be a good lawyer and a good person. What is a good lawyer? A good lawyer finds a solution for every problem. A bad lawyer finds a problem for every solution. Be a good lawyer.
