SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On August 11, 2020, at approximately 1330 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks were notified of a single motor vehicle crash on Vermont Route 30 in Poultney, Vermont.

Through investigation it was determined Operator #1 (Wells) was operating Vehicle #1 and traveling north on Vermont Route 30 when he looked away from the road to reach for a bottle of water and failed to maintain his lane. Vehicle #1 traveled several hundred feet along the ditch of the roadway and struck several telephone poles and trees before coming to rest.

Warner’s Autobody removed the vehicle from the roadway.

Vermont State Police were assisted by Poultney Rescue and Poultney Volunteer Fire Department.

Vermont Civil Violation Complaint: Pending.
