SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 6/7/2020, at approximately 1156 hours, Vermont Troopers

responded to a single vehicle crash on Vermont Route 114 near Worden Road in the

town of Burke, VT. Upon investigation, it was revealed the operator Karl Hermanns (67)

was travelling north on Vermont Route 114 when he left the roadway for an unknown

reason. After leaving the roadway the vehicle then rolled. Preliminary information indicates

Hermanns may have suffered a medical event shortly before the crash. Alcohol and speed

are not considered factors in this crash. Hermanns was transported to the Northeast Vermont

Regional Hospital by Lyndon Rescue and is currently listed as critical. The East Burke Fire

Department also responded to the scene. The vehicle was removed by Wrights Towing.
