SUMMARY OF CRASH: On June 24, 2020, at approximately 0630 hours, the Vermont State Police were advised of a single-car motor vehicle crash on VT Route 30 in The Town of Cornwall. Preliminary investigation indicates the operator Etta Aines (75) of Sudbury, VT was traveling north on VT Route 30 at a speed estimated to be approximately 50 MPH. Aines began to lose control of her motor vehicle, most likely due to heavy rain and traveled off the northbound shoulder. Upon leaving the roadway Aines struck a tree head-on, followed by a guardrail. After striking the guardrail the motor vehicle traveled across the highway towards the southbound shoulder where it came to a position of rest.

This motor vehicle crash is still in the preliminary stages of the investigation, anyone who may have witnessed this motor vehicle crash is encouraged to contact the State Police. Speed and impairment are not believed to be contributing factors in this motor vehicle crash.
