After seeing a change in driving behaviors since the COVID–19 pandemic, State Farm announced approximately 2.2 billion nationally in auto rate cuts.

According to State Farm Senior VP, Kristyn Cook–Turner, driving data and claims experience is showing a considerable decline in miles driven as well as less accidents.

In Michigan, State Farm is working to reduce auto insurance rates by 12.7%.

The rate reduction will apply to current customers at policy renewal saving approximately 1.1 million for State Farm customers.

In addition to the auto rate reduction, those participating in the Drive Safe & Save program will receive a discount increasing to 10%.

These rate reductions will vary based on individual renewals.

State Farm is currently working to reduce auto rates in every state and customers are encouraged to visit with their State Farm agent about individual policies, coverages, and other discount opportunities.
