SUMMARY OF CRASH: On May 10, 2020, at approximately 0122 hours, Troopers were dispatched to a Tractor Trailer crash on Vermont Route 22A in the Town of Benson (VT). Upon arrival of Troopers the tractor trailer was fully engulfed.
During the course of the investigation, the operator of the Tractor Trailer was found deceased inside the cab of the trailer. The body was removed and sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The Vermont State Police are currently investigating the crash.
The Vermont State Police were assisted by the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles Inspection Division, Benson Fire Department, Benson Rescue Department, Orwell Fire Department, Fair Haven Fire Department, Granville Fire Department, and Earles Truck repair.
