WHAT IS MEDIATION?
Mediation is a conflict resolution process in which a third party facilitates communication and negotiation to help parties come to a mutually acceptable agreement. The
mediator does not take sides or decide how the dispute should be resolved. Mediators in
foreclosure mediations are also required to communicate with the Court regarding
compliance with Vermont’s Foreclosure Mediation Statute.
