SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On 04/25/2020 at approximately 1500 hours, VSP Westminster received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 in the area of mile marker 26 southbound, in the Town of Westminster. Troopers responded to the scene.
During the roadside investigation, it was determined that vehicle #1 operated by Sykes was traveling southbound in the travel lane when she drove into the rear end of vehicle #2 which was also traveling in the southbound travel lane. This was a rear end type traffic crash.
The Westminster Fire Department, Golden Cross Ambulance, Benny’s Towing and Fay’s Towing assisted at the scene. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Sykes was issued a VCVC for following too close, a violation of Title 23 VSA 1039.
